About the App
BESS helps engineers and developers size utility-scale battery energy storage projects. It estimates battery and PCS capacity, degradation and augmentation, land footprint, project CAPEX, break-even (bidding) tariff, LCOS and payback, and exports the results as a PDF report. It supports projects in Indian Rupees (₹) and US Dollars ($).
All results are planning-level estimates based on the inputs you enter. Please verify them against vendor quotes and detailed engineering before making commercial decisions.

Privacy Policy
BESS is developed by Balasundaram Iyyadurai. This policy explains how the app handles information.
- No personal data collected. The app has no sign-in or accounts, and does not collect your name, email, location, contacts or other personal information.
- Your inputs stay on your device. Project inputs and calculation results are processed on your device. PDF reports are created on your device and are shared only when you choose to share them.
- No ads, analytics or tracking. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
- Internet access. The app downloads public information only: the current USD/INR exchange rate (frankfurter.dev), energy-storage news headlines (Google News RSS) and industry statistics. These requests do not include any personal information. The providers may see standard technical details such as your IP address, as with any internet request.
- External links. Links to news articles and reference sources open in your browser and are governed by those websites' own privacy policies.
- Children. The app is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under 13.
